Industry News: Billions-Yuan VLCC Order Secured at Posidonia Greece, Chinese Shipbuilding Recognized Globally by Leading International Shipowners

On June 1, a landmark contract was sealed on-site during Posidonia 2026 in Greece. Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding under CSSC, in cooperation with CSSC Trading, signed a construction deal with prominent Greek shipping firm Dynacom for 12 units of 307,000 DWT VLCCs. Worth nearly RMB 10 billion in total, the project pioneers dual-currency settlement in RMB and US dollars, with construction scheduled to kick off in October 2027.
